Martha J. Cullison
David is excited to visit his grandmother because they have a new book to read about the Culli bears. The Culli bears are brothers who have many adventures on the way to school. They splash in mud puddles and skip rocks on the lake before they arrive at school very dirty. The teacher uses their adventures to teach a very important lesson about washing with soap and water. One of the giraffes on the playground gets hurt, and teacher reinforces that day’s lesson about keeping wounds clean with soap and water to avoid germs that make children sick. The teacher is happy that everyone learned their school work very well, and the other children were able to help their friend.
